Day of Caring is a powerful reminder that united is the way we energize our community - together, one project at a time. We know that when we united with a shared purpose, we don't just complete volunteer projects - we strengthen the work that our nonprofit partners carry forward every single day.

Granville County Library System - Berea Branch Library
Pollinator Garden Cleanup project includes gardens that need to be weeded, edged, and mulched. There are four areas that need attention:
- A 15x20 flower bed designed to attract birds and wildlife for the library's ecoExplore PROGRAM needs to be weeded, edged, mulched and stepping stones added.
- A flower bed around the handicapped ramp (edging and mulching)
- A garden around the front door bench (mulching)
- A garden around a little free library memorial (expanding, weeding, planting, mulching)

Area Congregations in Ministry (ACIM)
ACIM is a non-profit network of Granville County churches dedicated to relieving hunger and assisting persons in need.
Project #1 Details: Food Pantry Distribution - To prepare carts from 9:00am to 11:30am with boxes and other food related items to load in the vehicles of clients.
Volunteer slots available: 5-10
Time: 9:00am - 12:00pm
Estimated Project Length: 2-3 hours

- Project #1 requires lifting of less than 50 pounds
- Project #1 requires continuous standing and walking

Project # 2 Details: Backpack Buddy Packing - To fill backpacks with food items.

Veterans Life Center
The Veterans Life Center is designed to help at-risk 21st Century veterans and prevent them from falling into crisis - chronic homelessness, incarceration, suicide or premature death.
Project #1 Details: Yard Work - Outdoor Landscaping/Gardening

Oxford United Methodist Church
Oxford United Methodist Church is a congregation that seeks to make disciples of Jesus Christ for transformation of the world. No only is this a church here in Oxford, NC, they also hold our only Summer Literacy Summer program in the county. Also has a preschool called Learning Tree Preschool.
Project Details: Mulching the Playground! Landscaping/Gardening

Mother Love Inc. is a nonprofit that is dedicated to empowering our community by addressing the root causes of food insecurity and homelessness while fostering a strong sense of unity.
Project Details: Indoor Cleaning/Organizing - Organize clothing by season, gender and size to better serve the community. Therefore when families reach out in need, they are able to assist faster and more efficiently.
