FINANCIAL SECURITY

A pathway to independence and long-term stability

FINANCIAL SECURITY GOES BEYOND MEETING BASIC NEEDS.

 It includes:

  • Stable employment with sustainable wages
  • Access to affordable housing and childcare
  • The ability to manage debt and build savings
  • Financial knowledge and tools to make informed decisions
  • A safety net to handle unexpected expenses or emergencies

Granville County United Way views financial security as a pathway to independence and long-term stability. When families are financially secure, children perform better in school, health outcomes improve, and communities grow stronger overall.

We do not directly provide these services. Instead, we work alongside trusted community partners to connect individuals and families with the resources, classes, workshops and support they need to thrive.

Financial security is a central pillar of our work because it forms the foundation that allows individuals and families to move from crisis to stability—and from stability to opportunity.
