Granville County United Way recently expanded its reach to serve Roxboro/Person County. This expansion aligns with our mission to support and empower local communities by addressing their most pressing needs. While we've extended our service delivery area to include Person County, Granville County United Way continues to serve those in need in Granville County. In fact, last year alone, we served 21,301 Granville County residents.
Our goal is to establish annual United Way fundraisers within Person County organizations, businesses, and industries. By participating in these campaigns, your organization will be crucial in supporting local nonprofits serving individuals and families in need within Roxboro/Person County.
The funds raised through this initiative will remain within Roxboro/Person County, ensuring they directly benefit those who require assistance with essential services such as food, clothing, shelter, financial security, utilities, counseling, and more. Granville County United Way currently supports several impactful initiatives in Person County, including Person County 4-H, The Christian Help Center, Backpack Pals, The Person County Sheriff's Department's Summer Camp initiative, Long Memorial United Methodist Church’s Summer Literacy Initiative Camp and Safe Haven of Person County.
