Granville County United Annual Meeting and Awards Recognition Dinner, May 5, 2016; Vino Oasi.
On Thursday, May 5th, Granville County United Way recognized donors and friends who made our 2015 campaign a success. More than 150 people attended the recognition dinner.
Altec Industries was presented our Largest Campaign and Largest Per Capita Campaign Awards with employee contributions totaling more than $150,000!
Our Corporate Spirit Award was presented to Revlon/Oxford. Revlon continues to support local United Way efforts and brings a special energy to our campaign.
Our 2015 Employee Spirit Award winner was Oxford Veterinary
Hospital, whose generous employees are dedicated to helping those in need in Granville County.
Dr. Marie Taylor/Oxford Veterinary Hospital received our Beacon Award. Dr. Taylor is passionate about serving the needs of our community and attracts employees who share that passion. She and her employees inspire us all.
Our 2015 Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to 3 individuals who worked together to coordinate our 2016 Days of Caring: Sandy Whitfield and Tokso Pak/Altec and John Mainey. Day of Caring sites included Granville County Museum, several Granville County Schools campuses and local non-profit agencies funded by GCUW. Special thanks to our three Volunteers of the Year for their commitment to our local United Way efforts and to making a difference for those in need. Day of Caring volunteer groups included: Boy Scouts, Masonic Home for Children, JL Williams Construction/Henderson, Flextronics and Altec Industries.
